Live chat Wednesday July 17 at noon EDT

I hope to chat with you on Wednesday, July 17 at noon EDT (-4GMT).

Any topic you want is fine.

Reminder: We still can't support chats from mobile users. We are working on it. The live chat app, called NowTalk, is in the right lower par of the blog. It's anchored on the edge so no need to scroll.

Still no luck with the chat app, but it might be connected with another problem.

Even though your latest chat notice states it was sent July 16, 7:12 pm PDT, it didn't post to my mailbox until July 17 1:16 pm PDT. which means the chat started about 4 hours before it got to my e-mail (Pacific time). The chat app must disappear after the posted chat time, which could be the reason I could never find the icon. Just wondering if other West Coast people were able to chat with you.

Good question. I don't know where the 5 or 6 participants were from. The lesson is that I will need to announce the chats more than 18 hours ahead of time.

I don't know how long emails about my posts take to get to you, but I can tell you that my Feedjit gadget, scroll down to the end and you'll see it on the lower right, tells me that when I post a new piece, people from all over the world start viewing it within seconds. Unless they are lurking on the blog site, they must be hearing about it via email.

The chat app is visible at all times to those with desktop or laptop computers. It is not visible with certain versions of some browsers. What browser and version are you using?

Either comment again or email me (preferably) at SkepticalScalpel(at symbol)hotmail(dot)com.
